When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin."
I'm whispering "I was lost,"
Now I'm found and forgiven.
When I say..."I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need CHRIST to be my guide.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
and need HIS strength to carry on.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
and need God to clean my mess.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
but, God believes I am worth it.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain,
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
who received God's good grace, somehow.

i scream, u scream, we all scream for ice cream!
actually, u'd probably scream when u saw the price. the world's most expensive ice cream can be found at New York's Serendipity restaurant and it costs $1000. yes, incredibly ridiculous. this is what aol's city guide has to say:
In September 2004, the restaurant honored its 50th anniversary with the creation of the Golden Opulence Sundae. The decadent creation consists of five scoops of ice cream made from the world's most expensive vanilla beans, rare and exotic chocolates, imported candied fruits and 23-carat gold leaf topping. It is served in a Baccarat crystal goblet -- which consumers get to keep -- and eaten with a golden spoon. Not surprisingly, the Golden Opulence Sundae clinched the Guinness Book of World Records title as the World's Most Expensive Ice Cream Sundae immediately after its debut.

listen...
How many roads did I travel
Before I walked down one that led me to You?
How many dreams did unravel
Before I believed in a hope that was true?
How long? How far?
What was meant to fulfill only emptied me still
And all You ever wanted...
Only me on my knees
Singing holy, holy
And somehow
All that matters now is
You are holy, holy
How many deaths did I die
Before I was awakened to new life again?
How many half truths did bear witness to
'Til the proof was disproved in the end?
How long? How far?
What was meant to illuminate shadowed me still
And all You ever wanted...
Only me on my knees
Singing holy, holy
And somehow
All that matters now is
You are holy, holy
All I have is gratitude to offer You..

this song screams what was going on in my life about 4 yrs ago when i gave my life to Christ. took the long road, the far road that led me to Him.. with so many topics discussed recently about life being short, live it with meaning and intention, i cant help but feel this song, and the urgency that there is to live ur life with some sort of purpose. in the end, u really have nothing. what will good health, wealth and relationships get u? no where. because there is 100% chance that we will die. but if u have a relationship with God, u have a new life to anticipate in eternity and u have a reason to live here on earth. especially in such a corrupt, self-centered world we live in, meaning is lost in everything. He is the reason i can smile in times of termoil and really appreciate all the things that suround me. its not about me, it's all about Him.
i challenge you to live a life of purpose, of meaning and of truth. this is only found in God alone, in a relationship with Christ. He's calling you.. can u hear Him?

mister and misses.

after much anticipation from Will and Matt, we went to see the movie mr and mrs smith tonight. the boys complained about the lack of action but what can u expect, its a PG-13 movie. other than the action, it was interesting. it reminded me of Will and i actually. how we always try to sneak around and outbeat each other. and of course in the end, they must kiss up and fall in love all over again, only to have to fight off the bad guys together. its also funny how two people can live together for 6 yrs and not have a clue of each others' secret assassin lives. im sure that happens often in real life too.. perhaps not to the same extent. but to live with family or a spouse, kiss them and tell them u love them, when really, theyre just strangers who live with you..
also the night brought about some nostalgia from back in the high school days. oh, those were the days when we would loiter around fmp with our friends, bumping into others that we knew and hanging out til dark. i do miss those days.. the only difference now, is that i dont have to wake up the next morning for class! ha, suckers. man! its been already two and a half months of summer break.. its sure going by fast. heck, i still have my winter penguins up there and outside just a couple days ago it was burning hotter than florida. maybe i'll just leave them there. just like that, it'll be winter again anyway.
neway thats it for now. i'll head back to throwing knives at my husband and falling off fifty-story buildings from my purse =)
oh wait, speaking of loitering, doesnt this sound just too familiar to all those attending salt?

1. To stand idly about; linger aimlessly.
2. To proceed slowly or with many stops: loitered all the way home.
3. To delay or dawdle: loiter over a task.

how wonderfully put..
to ask God to show us his glory, is to pray...
"Thicken the air with your presence; make it misty with your majesty. Part heaven's drapes and let your nature spill forth. God, show us God."

aaahhhh.
today was the last day of my packaging design class. handed in my project on Japan. finally! something nice i can put into my portfolio. next week design and colour starts. that should be a breeze.
for packaging, we only had one project that was worth a big chunk of our mark. we had to research a grain from a country and market/sell it in a canadian supermarket. so i chose japan's rice. (i wanted to make something pretty, rather than really challenging myself heh) i then chose green tea and miso soup as my two accompanying items. i'm very happy about how they turned out. here they are!
