Sometimes, even alleged thieves can have a heart. What began as a nightmare for a van driver in Paris, ended with a safe, holiday meal. He was tricked into pulling over when two men chased him in a car decked out with a flashing blue light and siren. The two then allegedly grabbed the van that was full of expensive designer wear. But even though they were wearing balaclavas and carrying guns, the thieves asked the victim where he lived, reportedly saying “we don’t want you to have too far to walk.” Then they drove him about 300 km to his home so he could have Christmas Eve dinner with his family. But despite their momentary goodwill, the victim still filed a complaint with the police.

i think the koolest part about this Christmas day
is that we all came together because of Jesus Christ's birth.
the birth of our Saviour and awesome Lord.

no one brings together so many ppl and so many nations,
not Buddha, not JFK, not Gandhi.
Jesus is arguably the most remarkable, most influential man in the history of human kind.

whether or not we all celebrate and give gifts for the right reasons,
it all did start with this one amazing child who came to save us all.
not just me and you, but everyone.

now isnt that something to celebrate?

for my grandma's christmas gift i wanted to compile an album of pictures,
from all the places she used to take me to as a child.

so on sunday Will brought me to all of them!
it was quite the adventure.
felt like the amazing race with photos, because we were tight on time.

we literally went all over the map.
here are most of the places we went to:


we went to stc.. where i always liked those balloons


then off to yorkdale for their rainforest cafe


then to chuck e cheese. thats me back in the day =P



and then came the best part of our adventure.
we went to fantasy fair at woodbine center, over by the race tracks.
i looooved it there when i was a child and its still super cool going back now.
we took a ride on the train, which btw was not as long as i rmb'ed it to be =T
but all in all it was sooo fun.


this is my sweet corn and i, when we went to the christmas dinner at my church.
well, he was definitely very sweet for taking me to all those places at such short notice.
this was just among the many, many sweet things he does for me.
he's my tall, dark and handsome alright heh
loving him more every single day =)

for sooooo long ppl have been telling me to get msn messenger.
and i've been reluctant simply because everyone was telling me.

but i finally gave in.

went to see it last night.
oh my. colossus and silvercity were sold out.
so i saw it at dinky first markham place =T

mac vs. pc

when i tell ppl i use a mac at home,
most of them react with a
'eww u use a mac?' or 'why? macs suck!'

so many times i've had to explain why they are the better computer.

first u have to understand that macs are made for the graphic design industry.
this means that they need to be fast, easy to use and of course aesthetically pleasing.
this of course, benefiting not only the designers but users of all sorts.

most of the ppl who insult macs are the ones
who havent had a chance to familiarize themselves with it.
theyre judging it by its cover (a beautiful cover might i add.)
anyone whos gotten a mac loves it, myself included.

easy to use, software wise.

in pc's u have to go thru installation cds, set up drivers and the works to get something to work.
in macs all u need to do is click, drag and ta da, its done.

for my SoundSticks all the manual told me to do
was plug this in. plug this in. and then plug it into the computer.
Will was reading it and he's like
what?? thats the shortest instruction manual i've ever read in my life!
the computer detects it right away and its ready to play.

easy to use, hardware wise.

on a pc, u know when you need to install something like a piece of memory,
u need to unscrew this and unscrew that to find a very complicated twisting of wires and metal?
weeeell boys and girls. this is the part i like best.
with a pull of a lever the whole side comes out,
revealing all of its components stored neatly.

no mess, no fuss. just easy open and close.

and dayam, is it sexy.

one of my friends went to a workshop for yrbook editing
and the guy in charge uses a mac.
when asked about pc and macs he said that he loves pc's.
they keep him in business because they keep breaking down =P

this is only a few of the wonderful highlights of the machine.

the only reason that mac can make such good machines that look good
is because mac makes mac computers.
pc computers everyone makes, sony pentium etc.
its hard to have a universal way to make them better with so many manufacturers.

so why don't more ppl use it them? tiff asked me today.
well uh, just because a lot of ppl dont use it doesnt mean its better.
just as how the majority of ppl on this earth are not Christian,
does that mean Christianity is wrong? uh uh.

just happens to be that most of the world uses the other computer.
the one that breaks down often. the one that is harder to use.
and the one that is uglier.

yeah, the world just happens to use the bad computer.
the world is dumb. no surprise to me =P

sound stix are a wicked set of speakers and a subwoofer.
they're made by harman/kardon,
who also make great speakers for bmw's.
and theyre kool cuz it glows!

was watching bad boys 2 and it was powerful man.
my hair wasnt blowing past me but it was good hah.

plus it just got some new ram.
so my beautiful g4 has been very spoiled.
now its sound is amazing and its super fast.

i got the job i got the job!

earlier in the month i applied to this job from workopolis campus
and basically its for being a promotional representative for a company.
and so i applied not completely knowing what it was.

i got an email back about it and got an interview.
so i went to the interview downtown with johnnioz.
the job was for a company called Zoom Media.
they take care of alot of billboard advertising
u know those ads in the back of washroom stalls and stuff?
or those big billboard things at the ACC?
that type of thing.

they also have this promotional area, which i applied for.
and basically they have clients who have products/services
and they want feedback on them, either from us, or from ppl using them.
and thats where we come along.
we test out the products, do demos for them,
basically we go out to see how the ppl like it.

it sounds really fun and its good pay.
its not part time or full time, its contract,
so its whenever they need me, not a few times a week,
which i cannot afford with school.

and i think its a great way to sneak myself into an advertising business.

im one of those customers who are really ma fan.
ask alota questions, takes a lota time to think, and very picky.

and if u know me, i always go to second cup.
its either i get the caramel toffee delato
or the white hot chocolate, sometimes half white half black.

and so i always go to the second cup at commerce
one, its a nice atmosphere and they make good drinks.

i decided to go getta delato at the second cup across from uhs for once.
since it was more on the way home than commerce.

so i order my usual, the caramel toffee delato.
and the girl who was making it for me was someone i knew from uhs.
and it was kinda bad cuz i was telling her how to make it..
i've seen it made so many times that i know when they've put the wrong ingredients in.

usually ur supposed to grind up all the drink stuff.
and then add the caramel bits in after and mix it again.
so that its more evenly distributed
and so the bits dont get grinded up so much that they are nonexistent.
because thats why i love the drink, cuz of the chewing bits inside.

but this time she mixed everything up together.
and what happens? duh u get this white drink with nothing in it.
and so i told her.
and she did it again. and she just didnt understand what i was saying.
obviously, because she has not had one before.
grr. so now im at home with this poorly made drink.

and this girl that was working with her was trying to help out.
but she didnt understand either. gr.
and so the boss or some higher up person comes by and asks what the problem was.
and the other girl tells him how 'oh the one at commerce has more bits.'
saying it with this annoyed, rolling her eyes kind of tone.

well hello, if u make my drink wrong im not gonna be happy.
i mean, i'd probably be happier if i made it myself.

never gonna buy from there again!
twice they've made my delato bad.

last time i was there they made it bad..
same thing, because they grinding the bits along with the drink.
so i had to ask them to do it again.
im not gonna be unsatisfied with a 4 dollar drink =P

if theyre both second cup stores, how come they make their drinks differently?
grr *shakes fist*

u know when you're eating our at a fancy chinese restaurant
and ur food goes on that circular, glass thing that rotates so ppl can get food?

Billy Graham`s daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and
Jane Clayson asked her "How could God let something like this happen?"
(regarding the attacks on Sept. 11).

Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response.
She said "I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are,
but for years we`ve been telling God to get out of our schools,
to get out of our government and to get out of our lives.

And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out.
How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection
if we demand He leave us alone?"

In light of recent events...terrorists attack, school shootings, etc.
I think it started when Madeleine Murray O`Hare (she was murdered, her body found recently)
complained she didn`t want prayer in our schools, and we said OK.

Then someone said you better not read the Bible inschool . the Bible
says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as
yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn`t spank our children
when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and
we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock`s son committed suicide).
We said an expert should know what he`s talking about. And we said OK.

Now we`re asking ourselves why our children have no conscience,
why they don`t know right from wrong, and why it doesn`t bother them
to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough,we can figure it out.
I think it has a great deal to do with "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW."

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and
then wonder why the world`s going to hell.
Funny how we believe what the newspapers say,
but question what the Bible says.

Funny how you can send `jokes` through e-mail and they spread like wildfire
but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord,
people think twice about sharing.

Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace,
but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

im not enjoying my job at bbt&me anymore..

i mean, i love the waitressing aspects of the job.
being friendly, taking orders, keeping busy and talking with customers (gwai lo ones)

but everything else is just a drag..

the pays terrible. i'll probably be making less the new the minimum wage soon enough.
everyone who works there is hardcore fob, and well, i dont fit it.
most of the customers are hardcore fob and are usually rude.
the smoking and the smoking room is gross.
now with our new rules set out im not supposed to answer my cell at work.
i hate working so late.. 2am is way past my bedtime.. =P
and the whole business is just corrupt!!
its a shadey business that pays only cash, that hires ppl based on looks
and keeps crappy waitresses only because they got picked up.

listen to this..
so there used to be this waitress who worked for us.
she spoke only mandarin, no cantonese no english.
so she couldnt communicate with most of the customers,
she couldnt communicate with most of the bartenders.
she could only work a select number of days during the wk.
which posed problems because she needed to be put with another waitress who could translate for her.
and theres only two of thosem so it got pretty ma fan.
so one of the bartenders told our boss to fire her.
and what did the boss say? (in chinese)
well, someone asked for her number, so she is kind of useful.

honestly. thats terrible!! she did end up quitting though..

and soon enough im gonna quit too.
theres no contract or anything that i've signed.
so i really dont have to be there if i didnt want to.

some of the ppl who work there have worked there for years
i dont get it!! dont they want more from their jobs?

i counted the bills wrong again the other night.
and its only because my hearts really not into it anymore.
and plus its friggin 2am and my minds exhausted.
my friends dont even come visit me anymore because of exams and stuff.
exception to my sweety who is my one loyal customer who comes every week =P

how am i supposed to keep sane??

once april comes along and summer holidays start,
hopefully, i'll be off to ikea or demetres =D

me, steve and eliot invaded charis on thursday and this is what came out of it heh.

for all u ppl coming back from universities,
u better come visit me at work!

as usual, im working sunday nights
and im also working christmas and new yrs 3-8pm
so that i can still partay at night time.

its sooo slow nowadays with exams and stuff.
no one comes, and i dont have anymore work to do

knowing him, he probably bought his fido phone with the colour screen
to have a colour picture of boa on it.

worked at a major lid company for a week,
putting lids in boxes for 9 hrs straight
without being able to talk to anyone.
hah. best job yet.

dressed up thuggish one day,
gq styles the next.

he goes to watch every movie that comes out.
not the stupid ones though.
oh wait, yeah he even watches those too.

listens to 97.3 for the all-the-time christmas tunes,
an interesting switch from his ghetto black guy music.

too cool to buy a winter jacket that would keep him warm.
and too cool to be mushy to a gf.
and so cool that he repeats things that i have already said
and puts up with all my repeated stories hah.

when sitting at a restaurant or store,
he gazes at his car the nissan 240sx aka s14
and comments on how damn sexy his baby is.
